Industrial Chinatown

This zine captures the “hidden” materials, labor, and economies of industrial Chinatowns that make up the literal building blocks of our city. Our photo-illustrations reframe the dominant narrative imposed on Chinatowns as places of consumption to devour dumplings and knockoff designer bags. Instead, we tell a story of production that traces distinct textures of roofing, tiling, food wholesale, and construction that are inextricable to the identity of Chinatowns themselves.
Riso Colors Used: Aqua, Red, Black, Green, Yellow
