This exploration of the structure and format of the receipt comes from the receipt’s role as a document of transaction—marking the exchange of goods and money. Through the restructuring of the format to include image and personal narrative, the receipt documents not only the transaction of goods, but the personal and social transactions that occur with/in the space.
